Milana M V is an alumnus of BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore and a gold medallist for the B. Arch batch of 2013. She was also the NIASA 2013 Zonal winner. She is the founder and Principal Architect at her firm, Vivospace Architects in Bangalore which was started in 2014 with her partner.

Fascinated by architecture from a very young age, she is one who loves her profession and works with passion, with a strong will to contribute to the fraternity and society as a whole.

Milana believes in breaking away from having a signature style of design and constantly researches to arrive at the ideal approach to changing typologies and context with respect to designing the projects. She at Vivospace drives the firm’s design thought to explore the interaction between the built space and one’s emotions, thus bringing life to spaces.

Through Vivospace Architects, she handles a wide portfolio of projects including luxury residences, interiors, apartments, commercial buildings, schools and institutions, with a total designed area of 50Lakh + SFT in a span of 8 years.

She is also an active participant in various activities of the Council of Architecture, Delhi. She has participated in various forums to talk about and promote women in architecture and women entrepreneurs. She is also the main spokesperson of the firm. She believes in nurturing young talent through providing curated internship programmes in her firm. During her 8 years of experience so far, she has also visited architectural colleges in taking up varying roles and responsibilities.

She is the winner of the FOAID Creative Minds Next Award for institutional and public building Architecture 2022, Delhi. She is the winner of iGen 2023 – Top 50 Architects under 40 in India. She has won the ELDROK award for Best in Architectural Design 2021. She is the winner of the WOV Award for Best in Architectural Design 2022. She was also appointed by the Council of Architecture as an independent review panel for the Manual Of Architectural Practice (MAP). She has mentored at various architecture schools as visiting faculty and juried for various architectural competitions.
