“ A seasoned lawyer and sustainability professional, Jasveen has been recognised for her oratory skills, social empathy and legal proficiency by both clients and employers.
Presently, Jasveen is working in – house and spearheading the ESG mandate of a leading insure-tech startup, InsuranceDekho.
Jasveen’s professional journey started with one of India’s premier law firms, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. (SAM), wherein she was involved in handling some landmark Indian Insolvency cases, such as Essar Steel Ltd. Case, Bhushan Steel Ltd. Case etc.
On a co – curricular front, Jasveen is a voracious reader and has always maintained a balance between her profession as well as affinity towards literary works. She has played a pivotal role in editing the festschrift titled ‘Law, Justice & Judicial Power’ [Published in India in 2019: ISBN No. 978-81-939171-3-8], along with a celebrated professor Late Dr. Mool Chand Sharma. The said festschrift honoured Late Hon’ble Justice P.N. Bhagwati, Former Chief Justice of India and was launched by the then Chief Justice of India, Shri Justice Ranjan Gogoi.
With a knack for legal studies since her formative years, Jasveen effectively utilized her surroundings to hone her legal skills by leading social upliftment campaigns, construction of school and cemented pathways in slum areas, assisting differently abled children in their schooling etc. One of her successful campaigns was against the sale of junk food in and around school premises, where Jasveen, in collaboration with a prominent Delhi based NGO, filed a PIL before the Delhi High Court pursuant to which the FSSAI was directed to formulate guidelines on restricting sale of junk food in and around school premises, which are in place today.
Jasveen’s relentless efforts to work for social causes has been recognized by national as well as international organizations and in 2012 she was awarded by the Pramerica Spirit of Community Award for her outstanding social work.
To carry forward her enthusiasm towards tackling societal and environmental concerns, Jasveen helps the underprivileged by rendering prompt and sound legal advice on a pro bono basis. She is also studying further about integrating ‘Environment Social and Government’ (ESG) factors into business strategy to create sustainable value for all stakeholders. “
